Okay I hate that it’s come down to this but I’ve decided to finally make a donation post.
I don’t usually mention family issues on here at all but my dad has a heart condition and isn’t supposed to be working for 6 months but has continued working after his surgery because he needs to pay the house mortgage, bills and food etc. He’s been advised against working because he’s meant to be letting his heart rest but he has no choice but to work. Now because of COVID, his job haven’t laid him off but won’t be paying him until June so he has no form of income for April and May (March was tough but my brother and I managed to help pay the full mortgage together) - also the stress is really bad for his heart, hence why the doctors told him he should be resting for 6 months minimum. My mum has always worked part-time so the amount she earns obviously isn’t enough to cover everything.
So not only is my dad an Immunocompromised person but my grandma had also been staying with us (and obviously can’t leave until all of this is over) and she is diabetic with high blood pressure and has specific food requirements which makes shopping for her a bit more expensive than usual.
I would literally do anything for them all to stay at home bc I’m so worried about them getting infected since there’s two immunocompromised persons at my house.
